A list of NSW's most wanted criminals has been posted on the internet.

NSW Police Minister John Watkins said wanted posters were already displayed in police stations, banks or at crime scenes and suspects' details were regularly broadcast by the media.

"While this is very helpful, we want the public to be able to more easily access the suspects' image,' Mr Watkins said in a statement.

The list, which is not numbered such as the FBI model, is on the NSW Police website.
